Dear Friends of the LA Meditation Center
Great News! The LA Center received a letter, dated February 14, from the
California Tax Franchise Office recognizing us as a nonprofit organization.
Both the state and the IRS now recognize us as a nonprofit organization.
March Message
There are
fours breaks in the energy during the year: the spring equinox, the summer
solstice, autumn equinox, and the winter solstice. These are times in which
the energy vortexes open, and we are more able to see. The Spring
Equinox is quickly approaching and its time to prepare for a new rebirth.
Spring is the season of rebirth. This is a time when we should clean out our
closets, clean out our lives, get rid off all that is old and useless and
start a new life. Every morning when you meditate you should start a new life,
a new day, and a new state of mind. Always focus on success, happiness and
enlightenment. Remember – whatever you focus on, you become.

Addictions and Compulsions Through Meditation and Willpower."

Exciting
Projects & How You Can Help
The LA Center has a lot of exciting
projects in the works. For example, we would like build a new website
with LA Meditation Center information. Jim has already purchased
the name LAmeditationCenter.org for us. This website will also contain
teaching materials that will be downloadable for free for any teachers
of our lineage who might need such information. We are going to
start collecting teaching materials from different sources in the
next few weeks. The LA Center is going to contact all Rama teachers
and gather this information. It's going to be fascinating to see
all the wonderful materials that will manifest from this effort.
Another project we
have in mind is to organize a teacher’s conference. This conference will take
place in West LA and we are going to invite all teachers, and all those people
who might be interested in teaching, to come and join us for an afternoon of
sharing information and resources. This conference is going to be free of
charge for all participants.
The LA Center is
looking to a home. We are actually looking for an office space that we can
use. We are looking for something around 300 to 350 square feet at a very
reasonable price. Basically, we are looking for a conference room or something
like it. If you know of any places like that, please let us know.
Finally, the LA
Center would also like to organize another event at UCLA and provide free
Zazen music and Rama materials to UCLA students and the general public as
well.
In order achieve all
of these goals we need your support. In recent months, the LA Center has
experienced a decrease in donations. This is quite unfortunate and puzzling,
especially since we are now a nonprofit organization and all donations are tax
deductible. If this situation continues, we might not be able to continue our
mission of spreading the teachings of Rama. However, we are confident that we
can count on you to move forward. Please make a taxable donation to the LA
Center today by mail us a check or money order. If you prefer to use a credit
card, please email us at
MeditationClub@aol.com,
and we will send you a bill through Paypal.
The LA Center is
solely supported by public contributions and it’s a nonprofit organization
dedicated to spread to the dharma.
Sincerely,
Roger Cantu
